Dong-Sik Kim, MD, PhD, is a Professor of Surgery and Biomedical Science at Korea University College of Medicine, specializing in hepatobiliary surgery and liver transplantation. He received his medical and doctoral training at Korea University and completed advanced fellowships at Asan Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati, USA. Professor Kim has served as Director of the Organ Transplantation Center and Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Korea University Anam Hospital. His academic interests include living donor liver transplantation, portal hemodynamics, small-for-size syndrome, and hepatocellular carcinoma. He has published over 140 SCI(E)-indexed articles and actively contributes to international transplant societies and consensus guidelines.
