Dr. Kooby is an international leader in foregut surgery recognized primarily for his contributions in the field of pancreatic surgery and minimally invasive surgical approaches. He is a founding member of the Central Pancreas Consortium, a prolific multicenter outcomes study group. He has held leadership roles in leading peer-review surgical journal editorial boards national and international societies, and he co-chaired the first International Conference on Minimally Invasive Pancreatic Resection in Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2016.
