ISLS 2025 ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
You are invited to submit abstracts for poster and/or oral presentation at the ISLS 2025 Congress, hosted by the International Society of Liver Surgeons (ISLS) and organized by the ISLS 2025 Organizing Committee on October 22-25, 2025, in Toronto, Canada. A limited number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentation.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
Abstracts will undergo a peer-review process. The Abstract Review Committee will assess each abstract based on its adherence to format, scientific merit, and alignment with the overall congress topics. Authors of abstracts selected for presentation will be contacted via email by the end of June and invited to present either an E-poster or oral presentation at the meeting.

Abstract Title |
Capitalize the first letter of each word. Titles in ALL CAPS are not allowed. Refrain from using standard abbreviations or acronyms in the title. |
Author Information |
Name All co-authors' first and family name(s) must be provided in full. Degrees or titles such as MD after an author's name must be deleted. |
Affiliation Affiliation should be structured as follows: Department, Institution, and Country. |

Abstract Format |
Structure Original Article: Summary description of study/research set out in a systematic, stylized form under headings structured in: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion. |
Pictures/Graphs/Tables No pictures, graphs, and tables are allowed. |

Presentation Types |
Authors have the option to indicate their preference on their presentation type among Oral Presentation,’ ‘E-poster Presentation’ or ‘Oral or E-poster Presentation.’ The ISLS 2023 Scientific Committee, however, reserves the right to decide the final type of presentation for all abstracts after review. |

Acknowledgment of submission will be sent automatically to both the abstract submitter and the presenting author by e-mail. Please contact the secretariat if the e-mail confirmation has not been sent. |
Modification |
Modifications may be made at any time until the late-breaking abstract submission deadline of May 7, 2025. |
Withdrawal |
Written request by email is required. |
Best Abstract Award
10 selected best abstracts will have 10 mins with 10 min Q&A, the next best set will be allocated 3 mins (4 slides) presentations in a mini oral session. |
Travel Grant Award
Qualifying first authors of abstracts submitted to the ISLS 2025 may apply for a Travel Grant Award. Grant application is completed by ticking a box within the abstract submission system. Awards are given to presenters of oral or E-poster presentations that are to be presented at the ISLS 2025 Congress.
For those attending onsite, the award consists of:

one complimentary congress registration,
-
three nights' accommodation at the congress hotel, and
-
reimbursement of travel expenses (economy flight, train ticket or mileage) up to 750 USD.
*Reimbursement will be made after the meeting by bank transfer.
Candidates must have submitted an abstract as the first author that has been accepted for oral or E-poster presentation at the ISLS 2025 Congress. Candidates must be an ISLS member. Award applicants will be notified in June 2025.
